“Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.”

Psalm 100:2 NRSV

Weddings

In baptism, Christians are claimed by the covenant of God’s faithful love. Marriage is a gift God has given humankind for the well-being of the entire human family. The sacrificial love that unites the couple sustains them as faithful and responsible members of church and the wider community. In the Reformed tradition, marriage is a covenant in which God has an active part, and which the community of faith publicly witnesses and acknowledges. With the approval of the FPC Session, members of First Presbyterian Church may hold a service of Christian marriage in the church’s worship space in a manner appropriate to this covenant and to the forms of Reformed worship under the direction of our minister and the church's wedding policy.
