Funerals

In baptism, Christians share in Christ’s dying and rising and receive the promise of eternal and abundant life in him. Funerals are a completion of that baptism. In the face of death, we affirm with tears and joy the good news of the gospel and the hope of the resurrection. Under the direction of our minister and through song, the reading of scripture and the proclamation of the word, funerals for our church members remind us that we do not grieve in isolation but are sustained by the power of the Holy Spirit and our community of faith.
