A Joyful Community of Friends with Time to Share

Goodtimers is one of the liveliest, most adventurous groups at First Presbyterian. We are people who finally have room in our calendars (whether newly retired or simply ready for more fun) and we fill that time with laughter, learning, service, and friendship.

Every month brings something new: day trips to hidden gems around North Alabama, hands-on mission projects, fascinating guest speakers, delicious lunches together, seasonal celebrations, and plenty of good stories swapped along the way. From exploring gardens and museums to packing care kits or singing Christmas carols at local care centers, every gathering is an opportunity to enjoy life, deepen old friendships, and welcome new ones.

If you love good company, meaningful outings, and making memories that matter, you already belong here. All are warmly invited (no age requirement, just a heart for fellowship and a schedule that says “yes” to adventure).
